today i have the weirdest conversation ever
here is what happened-
while waiting for bus to come and my phone starts to rings.
caller: hi may i speak to BAO YU? (in mandarin)
me: huh? i think you called the wrong person (in mandarin)
caller: (in English) is this pearlyn?
me: ehhh.. YES
caller: Hi I'm Mr Mak (my cell biology lecturer)
me: oh Hi Mr Mak. ehh my name is not BAO YU.
Mr Mak: or is it? i thought your surname is PAH then isn't that BAO is mandarin?
me: no. PAH is "peng" (in mandarin)
mr mak: haha.wow your name a lot of pearls.
me: haha
mr mak: I'm just trying to be funny
me:haha (trying to be polite)
mr mak: ya just want to ask who's your class Representative?
me: cherie
mr mak: haha thanks

i don't know why
but today seem to be the "NAME YOUR STUDENT DIFFERENTLY DAY"!
cause at 6
Carissa messaged me
saying that Dr Ong just called her "C-A-S-S-A-N-D-R-A"
